Young Women on oral contraceptives may hinder their ability to build muscle mass. A study put 73 healthy women, aged between 18 and 31, through a whole body resistance exercise program three times a week for 10 weeks. Thirty four of them were an oral contraceptives, while the rest were not. The women also ate protein rich food. The less muscle mass those not using the pill increased 3.5 percent compared to 2.1 percent in pill users. Those who did not use the pill gained more than 60 percent greater muscle mass than pill users.

This pills may hamper our muscle growth and make our weight loss and this leads to some disease factor.
